Meet Us
We’re teachers and co-founders who believe every child should have a fair shot at the 11+. Between us, we’ve taught across London for over 20 years and supported students into top grammar and independent schools — with a 100% success rate.

I’ve been a secondary school teacher for over 10 years, specialising in History and Humanities. I went through the grammar school system myself, so I know how life-changing the right school place can be. It opened up opportunities I wouldn’t have had otherwise.
I’ve taught across a range of London boroughs — from Barnet to Islington — and now live in Hackney. I’ve seen how access to the right support can make all the difference, especially in communities where information about selective schools isn’t always easy to come by.
I’m passionate about education and the role it plays in real social mobility. For me, it’s never just about the exam. It’s about building confidence, raising aspirations, and giving every child the chance to step into their full potential.
Working with families through Akoma Education is a privilege.

I’ve been a primary school teacher for over 10 years, but more than that, I’m someone who truly believes in the power of education to change lives. I grew up in Hackney and I know just how much your secondary school experience can shape who you become. It shouldn’t come down to luck or postcode.
I sat the 11+ at age 10 because a teacher took the time to tell my mum about it — she had no idea it even existed. That simple act of guidance changed the course of my education. It's a reminder of what teachers do every day, and it’s exactly what I try to do now: open doors for children who might not know they’re there.
That’s why I care so deeply about making these opportunities visible and accessible for every family.
Akoma Education isn’t just tutoring. It’s personal. I work with each child as an individual — their confidence, their pace, their story. I support families through the full journey with patience, honesty, and care. And I’m proud to have helped every single one of my students receive at least one offer from their chosen schools — with many receiving more.
For me, it’s not about pushing. It’s about preparing with purpose, and walking alongside families every step of the way.
